Retinal diagnostics
For a detailed diagnosis of the posterior segment of the eye (vitreous body, optic nerve head, macula and retina), it is necessary to dilate the pupils. The Angermann Eye Center employs proven experts for high-quality retinal diagnostics. The most common diseases include age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular occlusions.
The tools used in retinal diagnostics include fundus photography and optical coherence tomography (OCT) - an imaging technique that allows us to assess the procurement and integrity of the various retinal layers.
